Taryn White was a character introduced in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. She was played by actress Jennifer Rubin.
A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987)Edit
Taryn is a former drug addict, interred at the Westin Hills Psychiatric facility over a suicide attempt. In reality, she, much like the others, are the last of the Elm Street Children, whose parents got together in a lynch mob to burn child murderer Freddy Krueger alive. Of course, in the beginning of the film, none of the institutionalized teenagers know about Freddy's existence, and even when told by Nancy, they are disturbed and sceptical that their parents would do such a thing.
Taryn is also being harrassed by a male orderly at the hospital, who disregards her as a "junkie" when she threatens to go to popular orderly Max and inform him of what the orderly has been doing.
In Taryn's dreams, she is a leather-clad baddie who is adept with switchblades. Going into the big battle with Freddy Krueger, Taryn meets her end when Freddy overdoses her with his razors that turned into syringes filled with drugs.
Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash: Nightmare Warriors (2009)Edit
Taryn appears in the six-issue comic book. When Alice Johnson passes her dream powers to her son Jacob upon her death, Jacob uses the powers to resurrect the departed souls of Elm Street. Taryn is among them.
The first shot we see of Taryn, she is wearing a Dokken shirt. Dokken did the main single for the soundtrack.
